About the 13th ACES Awards
The ACES Awards, organised by MORS Group, recognise companies across Asia that combine commercial success with responsible leadership, people development and long-term value creation. This year's theme was "Beyond Business", and companies from Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines were among those recognised.
"The continued recognition of companies across multiple editions underscores the importance of sustaining excellence rather than treating it as a one-off achievement." — Dr Shanggari Balakrishnan, CEO of MORS Group
What Aiwalay built for ACES
An awards programme is a long operational process before it is a night of recognition. Prospective companies are contacted, applications and documents are collected, submissions are reviewed and decisions are recorded, by different people at different stages, over months.
Aiwalay built the CRM the ACES team uses to run that process in one place:
- •One pipeline from first contact to final decision, so nothing lives in scattered spreadsheets.
- •Role-based access, so each team sees and does only what their stage requires.
- •A full audit trail, so it is always clear who changed what, and when.
- •Automation built in, so repetitive follow-up work is handled by the system rather than by people.

What live events teach about business software
Being at the event the software supports was a useful reminder of three things we now build into every client system:
- •Reliability matters more than features. On a deadline, the only question is whether the data is right.
- •Audit trails are part of the product. When the outcome is public recognition, being able to show how every decision was reached protects the organisation.
- •The best internal software is invisible. If the people running the event never think about the system, it is doing its job.
