    The problem

Rolling Out reaches a large audience through its publication, but readers came and went through other people's platforms. The brand wanted a home it owns, where members read, watch, meet and buy, with revenue streams it controls instead of depending on ad networks alone.

    What we built

Aiwalay designed and is building a single platform with one shared backend. Members get the newsroom and contributor studio, a video network with live streaming and a creator studio, events with ticketing and door check-in, ticketed audio and video rooms, nine membership tiers with Culture Credits and Apple Wallet passes, a Culture Map of 46,000+ venues, plus health and personal-finance tools. Staff run everything from an HQ console. The same web code ships to the app stores, and an AI assistant answers in English and Spanish.

    Aiwalay's role

Aiwalay leads product engineering: architecture, the web app, the iOS and Android builds, the backend and integrations (payments, SMS, email, live video, maps), QA and release management.

Rolling Out: Culture Super-App for Web, iOS & Android : FAQ

What is Aiwalay building for Rolling Out?

A member platform that combines Rolling Out's editorial, video network, events and ticketing, live audio and video rooms, memberships, rewards and a venue map in one app, with an HQ console for staff.

Is it one codebase for web and mobile?

The web app and the iOS and Android apps share one codebase and one backend, so features ship to every platform together. A native Flutter client runs on the same backend.

Can you build a platform like this for a media or community brand?

Yes. We scope it in modules (content, video, events, membership, payments) so you can launch the core quickly and add revenue streams over time.
